Cinnamony Sugary Twists

img_3469These are the most delicious delight!  Simply made with two rolls of crescent dough laid flat, not separated.  On a cookie sheet,  put a piece of foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.  Brush on some melted butter, sprinkle it with sugar and cinnamon, then lay the second sheet of crescent dough over the top.  Put it into the fridge or freezer to firm up, the dough gets a little sticky as it becomes room temperature.  Once firm, remove from the fridge and using a pizza cutter, cut strips and then twist.  After all the strips are twisted, brush on some more melted butter, sprinkle some more cinnamon and sugar and that is it!  Toss it into a preheated oven at the temperature indicated on the crescent dough package, and they’re ready when they puff up and are a golden brown!  You could also make other tasty variations such as a cream cheese filling with or without some fresh fruit or jam, a smear of nutella with chopped banana and walnuts, or just fill with some mini chocolate chips and top it with a chocolate drizzle. The possibilities are endless.  Enjoy!
