Last Minute Hairclips!

Tonight I made 8 last minute hairclips with a New Years theme. Actually, I wouldn’t single them out as just New Years themed, they are bit fancier and quite a bit more grown-up than my usual hairclips. You could wear them out on the town, to a dinner date, girls night out, and of course, to any New Years party. I made two styles, one all black with marabou feathers, beaded feathers, netting, and a jeweled charm. The second, just substitute the beaded feathers for a cluster of purple and green feathers. The latter would even be highly appropriate for Mardi Gras. By reading my blog, one might think that I am a horrible procrastinator, waiting for New Years Eves Eve to make hairclips for the occassion. But then if you truly did read my blog, you’d know that I’ve taken a small break from hairclip making to enjoy the holiday season with my family. So you might ask, why then the last minute hairclips??? Well, I made these hairclips at the suggestion of one of my co-workers, who really wanted to get a New Years hairclip for her daughter who is in town visiting from college.  I felt compelled to accomodate her request, and there you have it 🙂

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful New Years!

Introducing Dorothy the Dodo Birds

Dorothy the Dodo Birds, that’s the name that my daughter would like me to name the Feather and Button hairclips…What do you think, should I rename them? She even went through all the effort to make me this cute, little product card with logo. Feel free to comment and give me your opinions 🙂

Feather and Button hairclips

Well, here it is… the beginning of many items to come. I’d like to share with you my newest creations, the Feather and Button hairclips. These colorful fun accessories are made with double alligator clips covered with grosgrain ribbon, brightly colored feathers, ribbon, buttons, and embroidery floss.
